During my year travelling, I have met people all across the world who originate from Kolkata. We have shared memories and stories of the food and remembered Kolkata so fondly, while we stand miles and miles away from home.
In Kolkata, the name Aminia evokes nostalgia — of fragrant biryanis, slow-cooked qormas, and timeless recipes passed down through generations. It’s where stories were shared over plates of our food, and where tradition met taste, every single day.
Opening in Dubai has been a new chapter — one filled with learning, cultural exchange, and heartfelt storytelling. Here, we’ve introduced our legacy to a global audience, many of whom are tasting Aminia for the first time. And as we approach our one-year anniversary in Dubai, it’s humbling to see families beginning to make Aminia part of their story — whether it’s a midweek meal, a Friday night gathering, or a Sunday brunch with loved ones.
